Everblue, a technology company focused on innovating and digitizing organizational processes, has built its own online test proctoring software called EverSafe that runs natively in Everblue’s exam delivery platform.
EverSafe was designed to improve exam security by recording video and audio during an examination attempt without burdening the candidate with a third-party installation or download.
“One of our primary goals with building EverSafe was to make it easier for users to access their online exams,” said Sid Bergstresser, Everblue’s chief technology officer. “With this built-in proctoring software, users can log into their test portal and simply start their exam, without having to take the extra steps of downloading a browser extension or fully downloading an application to their computer.”
The proprietary solution will also significantly reduce the number of customer service issues fielded by Everblue staff. Instead of redirecting users to a third party, Everblue’s exam support team can quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues related to its EverSafe proctoring program.
Everblue currently partners with several third-party proctoring companies, such as Proctorio, ProctorFree, and Examity, to offer a spectrum of online test proctoring features. There are a number of factors that would influence a client to choose one tool over another, such as a preference of real-time vs. AI-based proctoring, cost, scheduling convenience, or ease of use. Everblue will continue to offer these proctoring options in order to give clients the ability to choose the solution that best matches their needs. EverSafe by Everblue will simply be another option to choose from.
“We are basically a proctoring broker,” Bergstresser said. “All of our clients require some version of online test proctoring, and each client has a different need and set of values that guides their choice of proctoring software. We’re agnostic to the brand and show no preference among our partners. We just want our clients to have options and for them to know that we can build out an entire online test delivery service for them regardless of which option they choose.”
